At the Royal Ballet School, Dana regularly performed with the Royal Ballet Company at Covent Garden in such productions as Swan Lake, Cinderella and La Bayadere. Whilst in London Dana also competed in the Genee Awards and was awarded the Bronze medal. After graduating, Dana was offered a contract with Northern Ballet Theatre, England. With this company she travelled the UK performing many ballets including Giselle and Romeo and Juliet. Lisa started her performance career at Dreamworld, she moved on to Cheerleading for the Brisbane Bullets and Broncos then heading to Japan for 2 years. She ended up in Sydney with Grayboy, the Agency. Lisa’s stage and performance credits include Valentino, Sydney Showboat, Theatre International India, the Russian Coachman Club, Cheeky Entertainment, P&O and Princess Cruises. In 1990 Maria joined National Ballet of Canada before moving to South Africa in 1992 to dance with Napac Dance Company and Cape Town City Ballet. Maria has danced soloist & Principal roles including Swanhilda (Coppelia) Sugar Plum Fairy (Nutcracker) and Princess Aurora (Sleeping Beauty). On retiring from stage Maria completed her R.A.D. Modern Jazz/ Contemporary Teacher Livia's dance journey began at Capa, where her passion flourished. Training in all genres of dance Livia completed all levels of CSTD Jazz exams and continued her training, completing her teaching certificate in Modern Jazz. Also having a passion for Contemporary dance Livia immersed herself in the rigorous International Baccalaureate Dance Program, delving into the works of pioneers like Merce Cunningham, Isadora Duncan, and Martha Graham, which honed her foundational skills. She also completed a thesis on the evolution of modern to new-age Contemporary dance. Accepted into various company programs, she collaborated with esteemed Contemporary dancers from Australasian Dance Collective (ADC) and Merge Dance Collective. Livia, more recently has had the opportunity to work with Contemporary and Ballet creators from around the world, including Cuba, America, and Italy. Her acceptance into the NUDO dance company founded by Yasim Coronado Veranes, provided a platform to delve into various Contemporary movements, with a focus on Afro-Cuban roots. Livia and NUDO secured grants with Home of the Arts (HOTA) and Brisbane Multicultural Arts, leading to the creation of video projects and two shows, one of which was titled 'Granted.' This hour-long production explored the migrant journey to Australia, incorporating elements of modern Contemporary, Afro-Cuban Contemporary, and current Contemporary dance styles, with some of Livia's own works being piloted. Shortly after graduating, Georgie made her professional debut playing Jan in the national tour of Grease: The Arena Experience (2018), and in 2019 originated the role of Rex Connor in The Dismissal, reprising her role at Sydney Theatre Company in 2021 (cancelled due to Covid-19) and in the rescheduled 2023 production. Georgie also plays Judy McGill in the Netflix comedy series God’s Favorite Idiot alongside Melissa McCarthy and Ben Falcone, and appeared in Peacock’s Joe vs Carole andYoung Rock for NBC. As a new mum to the world of dance she began volunteering and assisting with various tasks around the studio. Adding to her previous experience in retail, Christine was able to grow to became a permanent face to CAPA parents with her management of the dance store, assisting with costuming and administration. During her time with CAPA she has also been involved with our performance troupe with costumes and supporting them with their performances. She has had the privilege of travelling and assisting backstage with costuming at Eisteddfods, Showcases, Lord Mayor Carols as well as trips to Disneyland LA, Walt Disney World Florida and New York with the CAPA Performance Troupe. In 2015, she moved to Australia to pursue full-time training in classical ballet as well as exploring her passion for music and singing. She participated in ABRSM musical theatre exams and was accepted into the Queensland Ballet Youth Academy. After graduating, Tessa chose to pursue a Bachelor of Occupational Therapy which she is currently studying. From a young age she has trained in ballet, lyrical, contemporary, jazz styles and Cecchetti, RAD and CSTD Jazz syllabus. She loves mentoring and working with all CAPA students, especially the littlest ones, and prioritizes giving everyone the opportunity to dance in a positive, fun and supportive environment. After overcoming significant health challenges, Rianna has combined her passions for dance and working with young children, into becoming a dance teacher. Rianna has completed her Cecchetti Associate Diploma Part 1 and additionally Diploma of Dance (Elite Performance) through CAPA’s VET Program. As a qualified Early Childhood Educator, Rianna oversees CAPAs Ready Set Dance and pre-school Program. She danced all through her childhood including various eisteddfods, ComDance exams, cheerleading and promotional tours. Her professional dance experience includes Entertainment Supervisor at Sea World. During this time, she performed around QLD and Northern NSW as well as Singapore, Korea, Japan and New Zealand. Still actively performing with different independent dance companies, Alessandra continues to evolve as both an artist and educator. Her teaching is deeply holistic, rooted in anatomical knowledge and inspired by years of meditation and somatic exploration. This unique blend supports safe, expressive movement that nurtures both body and soul. She is devoted to helping people of all ages maintain a healthy, long-lasting connection between body and mind. Eliana has trained in multiple syllabi including Cecchetti, RAD, and Vaganova. Eliana’s training journey includes placements such as the Australian Ballet School Interstate Program, Queensland Ballet Associate Program (2018–2020), and summer intensives at The Royal Ballet School, Princess Grace Academy, and Bolshoi Academy. Eliana has represented Queensland at the Cecchetti Ballet Lucie Saronova Awards multiple times, earning recognition in 2018 and 2019, alongside winning the Cecchetti Ballet Queensland William Carse Memorial Award (2016), Bronze Category (2017), Silver Category (2018), and Gold Category (2019). In 2021, Eliana was awarded a full-time placement at the Queensland Ballet Academy. Her dedication to both ballet and education drives her passion for teaching, and she is excited to share her knowledge and experiences with her students. Eliana has completed her Cecchetti Associate Teaching Diploma (Part 1) and is currently working towards her Cecchetti Final Diploma and Cecchetti Associate Teaching Diploma (Part 2). Her experience in the dance community gives her a real understanding of what it takes to be a dancer and what families need from their dance school. She is also currently working towards a double degree in Business and Creative Industries at QUT and studying for her Irish Dancing Teacher Certification (T.C.R.G). She loves being able to combine her marketing skills with her dance background to help keep the CAPA community connected and informed, making sure families have everything they need to make the most of their dance experience.
